Anna Griego graduated in Biotechnology at the University of Perugia (2013). Then, she obtained the MSc cum laude in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Perugia (2015). In January 2016, she won a 9-month Erasmus Traineeship + fellowship at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL- Belgium) in the Stem Cell Department (SCIL). After that, she relocated to the Ile-de-France region and obtained a Ph.D. (2021) in Microbiology at the Université de Paris – Institute Pasteur (Paris). From May 2021 she is a junior post-doc in the Infection Dynamics lab at UniMi and INGM. Over the course of the years, Anna has investigated muscle cells regeneration in response to oxidative stress, regulation of the cell cycle in mouse embryonic stem cells, and finally, she landed in investigating cell-to-cell phenotypic variation and persistence in Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
When Anna is not in the lab, she can be either at the gym, in the swimming pool, traveling somewhere, or trying to play the violin.
