About us

We are curious experimentalists fascinated by the complex molecular dynamics governing the infection process, and how to smartly ‘get in the way’ to stop it. 

An uppermost aim of the Infection Dynamics Lab is to elucidate the fundamental nature of how human cells are colonized by pathogens. These host-pathogens interactions are one of the most ancient – yet almost unexplored so far – expressions of parasitic relationships. We aim at using this knowledge to gain a deeper understanding of human pathogens behavior (even at single cell level) to seek completely new treatments.
