PhD student
Shafaq completed her Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) degree in 2019 from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. Following graduation, she pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Pharmaceutics, where her research focused on the engineering of tetanus toxoid-loaded polymeric microneedle patches. This innovative drug delivery technique offers a painless and non-invasive method of inoculating drugs via a patch. Her research was later published in the Journal of Drug Delivery and Translational Research.
After completing her MPhil, she worked as a Hospital Pharmacist in the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, gaining practical experience in the healthcare sector. Subsequently, she applied for a PhD and secured admission to the University of Milan in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, she has a deep passion for reading books, traveling, exploring nature and playing cricket.
