Lara Victoria Aiassa

Lara is a Biomedical engineer who graduated from the National University of Córdoba, Argentina (2020). In the fourth year of her bachelor’s studies, she won a scholarship to participate in a double degree program at the Polytechnic of Turin, Italy, where she relocated and finished her studies obtaining also her MSc cum Laude in Nanotechnology in July 2020. Since February 2021 she is a predoctoral researcher within the Infection Dynamics lab at UniMi and INGM. She is also a member of the Molecular Bionics group, at the Institute of Bioengineering of Catalonia where she is carrying her doctoral research investigating and designing super-selective nanotherapeutics towards specific cell phenotypes, with the main focus on targeting macrophages and their dynamic phenotypic states.  

Besides science, Lara enjoys traveling, doing sports, long walks, and hanging out with friends.
