Post-doc
Majeda Muluhie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with first-grade honors and has experience working in both community and hospital pharmacies. She then obtained a Master’s degree in Safety Assessment of Xenobiotics and Biotechnological Products from the University of Milan, graduating with 110 cum laude, where she began her early research activity studying the endocrine-disrupting effects of paracetamol.
Later, she was awarded the “Giovani Promettenti” fellowship, focusing on cardio- and cerebrovascular diseases at the Laboratory of Pharmacology of Thrombosis and Atherosclerosis. Majeda completed her PhD in Pharmacological and Biomolecular Sciences, studying the role of extracellular vesicles in heart-brain axis interactions. She worked abroad as a visiting PhD student at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona. Afterward, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Milan.
In 2025, she joined the Infection Dynamics Group, where she studies the role of extracellular vesicles in driving senescence during infection.
Majeda is an animal lover, and in her free time, she enjoys reading and traveling.
