We are very happy to welcome Marta, Beatrice, and Federico as new PhD students joining the Infection Dynamics group at the University of Milan! 🎉
Each of them will explore exciting and complementary aspects of infection, immunity, and aging — strengthening our group’s mission to understand how chronic infections and immune dynamics shape health.
- Federico will investigate cellular senescence and the potential of senolytic-based therapies, aiming to uncover new strategies to target senescent cells and improve tissue function during chronic diseases.
- Beatrice will focus on aging-associated T cells and their role during chronic infections, exploring how immune aging influences pathogen control and inflammation.
- Marta will study cell-derived nanoparticles as platforms for novel therapies, integrating cutting-edge bioengineering with immunology to develop innovative therapeutic approaches.
We’re thrilled to have them on board and look forward to seeing their creativity, enthusiasm, and scientific insight enrich the group.
Welcome, Marta, Beatrice, and Federico — we can’t wait to see where your PhD journeys take you!
