Gabriel graduated in Biotechnology Engineering at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology in 2021. After this, he worked for one year performing SARS-CoV-2 sequencing for molecular surveillance before starting his master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Milan in September of 2022. He joined the lab for his internship in January of 2024 where he is studying macrophage differentiation in response to infection.
Apart from science, Gabriel enjoys watching and playing football, hiking, and going to the mountains and lakes.
